Bullion and Coin Exchange is a company that sells gold, silver, platinum, and palladium bullion coins and bars. They also carry Austrian Mint products, as well as American Eagle coins.
Bullion and Coin Exchange is one of the few places where you can buy both bullion or numismatic (collectors) items in one place. They specialize in metals such as gold, silver, platinum, and palladium due to their abundance of hardness or rarity. They also sell American Eagle and Austrian Mint products, which are a little more collectible. Since the site is newly set up, it has low competition for bullion. Being a British-owned company helps as well.

Quality of Services
The service is not perfect, but it has all you need for bullion purchases: payment methods, shipping, and insurance options. They provide a lot of information related to the metal you're looking at. They have a live chat function, which is great if you want to talk to someone. But the chat function is a little slow and has long response times, so keep that in mind. The customer support is very helpful and friendly, though it requires patience. I have only had one notable problem with them (I sent an email about five minutes before I registered for the site), but their customer service reps were very helpful in contacting me back on demand.
The gold, silver, and platinum coins are for sale with a 10% discount, which is a pretty good deal. The only thing that could make it even better is a deeper discount on the prices of the Austrian Mint products.
Shipping
The shipping costs from Bullion and Coin Exchange are on the average side. But I should note that their prices for them are honest and not exorbitant at all. So, if you're looking for a place to buy rare numismatic products, check out Bullion and Coin Exchange.
Bullion and Coin Exchange uses Brinks Inc., which is an armored car company that ensures safe delivery of orders over $1000 with the use of an insurance policy for the full amount of the order. The only exception is for orders of gold and silver bullion coins, bars, and rounds, which have a cap of $100. Bullion and Coin Exchange uses the United States Postal Service to send out its orders weighing less than $1000. For orders weighing more than $1000, Bullion and Coin Exchange uses Brinks Inc. to ship the product.
What You Can Buy
The first step when buying any product is to register an account. To register, you need to provide links that prove your identity and email address. Once you're registered, log in and buy a bunch of stuff. The shopping cart is pretty good and allows you to keep the products in your cart. The prices are quite good. The shipping is lightning-fast and their system is secure.
Bullion and Coin Exchange's customer service department is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via telephone or email. The company also offers a live chat feature for its customers.
Gold Coins for Sale
When purchasing gold coins from the Bullion and Coin Exchange, you will be able to choose from different weights, purity levels, sizes, and designs of precious metal coins. The most popular products that it offers are the American Gold Eagles and American Silver Eagles. Customers can also buy certified U.S. Gold Eagles, 100 oz. U.S. Gold Bars and 1 oz. U.S. Gold Rounds from Bullion and Coin Exchange at the lowest prices that can be found in the market today (1). These gold bullion coins and rounds are designed to meet the demands of investors from all over the world through their high-quality standards, meaning that they are made of .999 fine gold or .999 pure silver respectively, and will contain a certain weight of metal as shown on their markings present on its packaging (2). A few of the products that Bullion and Coin Exchange have in stock include:
The American Gold Eagle is considered to be one of the most popular bullion coins due to its purity level, design, and overall beauty. The American Gold Eagle has a face value of $50 and contains one troy ounce of gold. The American Gold Eagle has a weight of 1 troy ounce (31.1035 grams) and a diameter of 1 inch (25.4 mm). It is produced by the U.S. Mint which is the branch of the United States government responsible for producing circulating coinage as well as medals, notes, and other forms of paper money. The U.S. Mint's main facility is in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (3). It has been produced every year since 1997.
The American Silver Eagle has a face value of $1 and contains one troy ounce of silver. The American Silver Eagle has a weight of 1 troy ounce (31.1035 grams) and a diameter of 1 3/4 inches (42mm). It has been produced by the U.S. mint since 1986.
The design of the American Silver Eagle is symbolic of America's national heritage as well as its national pride. Its design includes a representation of a heraldic eagle behind a shield, which is symbolic of freedom, along with 13 five-pointed stars and an olive branch, which are symbolic of peace in addition to the 13 original states that signed the Declaration of Independence (4).
Silver Bullion Bars
For those who prefer silver bullion bars, Bullion and Coin Exchange offers a few different varieties of gold that have very low premiums over the spot price of silver. Silver bullion bars are comprised of 100 troy ounces (or 8,359.50 grams) of .999 pure silver and are available in 6 different sizes: 10 ounces, 100 ounces, 500 ounces, 1 kilogram (32.15 oz.), 5 kilograms (165.92 oz.), and 10 kilograms (320.27 oz.). The most popular silver bullion bars are the 10-ounce size, which comes in a variety of different designs. The 100-ounce size is also popular but it is relatively more expensive than the 10-ounce bars.
Silver Bullion Rounds
Bullion and Coin Exchange offers Silver rounds in several different sizes: 1 ounce, 10 ounces, 100 ounces, and 500 ounces. The most popular silver rounds are the 100oz and 500oz sizes which contain 1 troy ounce of .999 pure silver. Each of these bars comes in various designs but the common design on all of them is a picture of George Washington on one side and John F Kennedy on the other side.
What I like most about them: they have a lot of information on their site, they have an easy shopping cart, they're very fast with shipping and their prices are honest.
The cons: I don't think that the live chat function is very helpful, especially for bullion purchases.
What I'd like to see improved: they should add more information on the site, such as videos and a FAQ section. They should also prevent me from registering right after I make an order, as that confuses me.
The Bottom Line
Bullion and Coin Exchange is an excellent place to buy bullion, numismatic items, etc. But it's not the best place to buy rare metal coins.
